Middle School (6-8)

The middle school at Bromley East Charter School strives to deliver an educational experience that is developmentally responsive, challenging, empowering, and equitable for all students. Students follow a modified block schedule starting each day with their LEAD class, followed by four core and two elective classes scheduled between the white, green and gold days.

Middle School Modified Block Schedule.

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Friday - WHITE days. 55-minute classes and will see all their teachers.
  • Wednesday - GREEN day.  113-minute classes, and students will see half their teachers.
  • Thursday - GOLD day. 113-minute classes, and students will see half their teachers.

Our core teachers (Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies) are each assigned to one grade level in order to allow for collaboration, cross-curricular learning, and a shared focus on one group of students. Students are scheduled for Art, PE/Health, Spanish, STEM, Technology, and Theater for one trimester each. Students may also choose to take Band, which is a year-long class. Our curriculum is aligned with the Colorado Academic Standards as well as the Common Core State Standards and utilizes multiple resources including StudySync, enVision Math 2.0, History Alive, as well as a variety of other additional traditional and online resources. All classrooms have access to technology, with grades 6 - 8 having Chromebooks assigned to each student.

For the 2024-25 school year, Bromley offers the following field trips:

6th - International Towne and Outdoor Education.

7th & 8th Travel Opportunities through EF Tours

As a Leader In Me school, all Bromley students learn about Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits and continually grow their leadership skills. Throughout their K-8 journey at Bromley, students select their Bromley Important Goals (BIGs), identify the Lead Measures that will help them achieve their BIGs, and have a Cadence of Accountability - a plan that assists in the monitoring and accountability of the goal. Additionally, middle school students continue to own their learning and lead their own parent/teacher/student conferences.

We look forward to partnering with you on this great journey as we work to support our adolescent learners and prepare them for high school and beyond.
