We take data privacy and security seriously to ensure that student information is handled securely and in compliance with the Colorado Student Data Transparency and Security Act (HB 16-1423).

We (Bromley East Charter School) will comply with the privacy protection acts, including COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), CIPA (Children’s Internet Protection Act), FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations.

We maintain a directory of the apps, programs, and websites approved for use in our school. This resource, managed through EdPrivacy, includes program descriptions, contracts (where applicable), privacy policies, terms of service, and approved grade levels for each tool.

BECS is actively vetting application and websites is for privacy, security, and ADA compliance by our Technology Team and the BECS ACCT Team. Teachers and staff can request tools, which are then carefully reviewed for compliance and curriculum support before approval.
