What if your child could step into a classroom that feels more like a workshop for the future? That’s exactly what SmartLab delivers!

Our new STEM program isn’t just about science, technology, engineering, and math—it’s about transforming the way students approach learning. In SmartLab, your child becomes a creative problem-solver, tackling hands-on challenges that teach them to design, build, reflect, and adapt.

Beyond gaining skills, students develop the confidence to pursue big ideas and the mindset to navigate an ever-changing world. SmartLab is where today’s curiosity grows into tomorrow’s leadership.

What’s Project-Based Learning and how does it help my child succeed?

Project-based learning is all about solving real problems in real-time.

Instead of memorizing facts, your child gets hands-on experience breaking down big questions, experimenting with ideas, and finding creative solutions that work.

At SmartLab, this approach builds critical thinking, sparks creativity, and teaches kids how to collaborate effectively. Best of all, they don’t just “get it”—they figure out how to apply what they learn to everyday situations, giving them the tools and perspective to thrive in school and in life.

Program Overview

SmartLab utilizes cutting-edge technology and a STEM-based curriculum through the Learning Hub platform.

Across all grades, students explore STEM challenges by:

  1. Planning and asking questions
  2. Researching and evaluating options
  3. Engaging in hands-on activities, and
  4. Reflecting on outcomes

The final phase of each project involves sharing their discoveries with peers.

Through this structured process, students develop strategic thinking, thrive in teamwork, and discover their unique voices.

By engaging in trial-and-error problem-solving, students develop a growth mindset, shifting from “I don’t know how” to “I think I can.

Looking Ahead

SmartLab is just getting started at Bromley East, and we’re already seeing the incredible potential it holds for our students.

We’re planning opportunities for students to showcase their projects to the wider community through events and presentations—as sharing their work not only builds their communication skills but also inspires others with their creativity and innovative ideas!
