Music (K-5th Grade)

Music shapes minds and strengthens hearts.

In our K-5 Music program, students explore the world of music while building foundational skills like rhythm, melody, harmony, and performance, with each year introducing new layers of learning and growth.

In Kindergarten, students are clapping to the beat, singing, dancing, and exploring new sounds. As they progress, they engage in activities that combine movement, vocal expression, and instrumental practice, deepening their understanding of music as both a creative and technical art. By 5th grade, they’re performing confidently on the ukulele, reading musical notation, and understanding concepts like tempo, dynamics, and harmony.

Every lesson blends creativity with skill-building, giving students a lifelong appreciation for music while preparing them for more advanced studies.

From the Classroom to the Stage

At every grade level, students share their progress through performances and projects:

  • Kindergarten: Graduation performance
  • 1st Grade: Informal classroom showcase for parents
  • 2nd Grade: Holiday concert
  • 3rd Grade: Digital composition project
  • 4th Grade: Recorder concert
  • 5th Grade: Ukulele concert

Each event is a celebration of their hard work, growth, and creativity. These moments remind us just how talented, dedicated, and truly extraordinary our students are!
