Band (6th-8th Grade)

Band is where music, teamwork, and leadership come together.
In our 6th-8th Grade Band program, students dive into the fundamentals of woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments while building fluency in reading music and mastering essential musical concepts.
Students can choose from a variety of instruments, including the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion.

Building Leadership and Teamwork
In band, students grow as leaders and team players while making music.
Students take ownership of their growth by assessing their performances and setting goals. Leadership roles give them the chance to help peers, offer guidance, and even step up as public speakers during concerts.
Every performance is a team effort, and success comes from working together. Playing an instrument takes grit and determination, and our students learn to persevere through challenges, celebrate progress, and create something beautiful as a group.

Performance Opportunities
Performances are where the magic happens!
Our bands take the stage 3-4 times a year, sharing their progress and talent with the school and the community.
For students looking to go further, we encourage participation in honor band events where they perform with other talented musicians and receive valuable feedback from experienced educators.
These performances are excellent confidence-builders and reminders of what’s possible when dedication meets passion. Every note, every applause is a celebration of how far our students have come and the incredible future they’re creating!
