Clubs (Fall)

Unleash your inner artist in the Art Club! Explore a world of creativity beyond the classroom. We'll dive into exciting and unique projects that spark imagination and develop artistic skills. From Kindergarten to 5th grade, there's something for everyone. Let's build a vibrant community of young artists, sharing ideas, and creating amazing artwork together!

The Birthday Card Club allows students to demonstrate their creativity and caring for others by writing and decorating birthday cards for the students of BECS. Students must be able to write neatly and legibly. Each student will be provided with all necessary materials for creating birthday cards.

In Chess Club, students will participate in recreational chess matches with fellow club members. These matches will be noncompetitive, though scores will be tabulated to award the top 3 finishers with chess medals when the club ends in November. Students of all ability levels are invited to attend.

Choir club is a wonderful introduction to the art of choral singing. This club is designed to enhance the musical, creative, and expressive qualities of all students. Singers will learn basic sight singing, experience a variety of musical styles, and learn proper breath support and singing techniques. Sheet music and instructional materials are provided. Participation in choir club will provide a strong basis of music fundamentals that supports a lifelong love of music.

Looking for a fun way to organize and express your creativity? Join the Creative Pages Club and discover the art of bullet journaling.  This is a unique way to combine planning and art, using doodles, custom layouts, and fun designs to manage your schedules, track goals, and capture your thoughts and feelings. You will learn valuable tips, get inspired by your peers and create a planner the fits your style.  Students are provided all supplies and only need to bring their imaginations. No experience is necessary.

The Cribbage and Cards Crew is designed to introduce students in grades 5-8 to one of the most fun, fast-paced, and strategic card games ever created, Cribbage!  Students will have a chance to unplug, sit down with friends and enjoy an engaging mix of strategy, math and friendly competition. Students will also explore other classic card games that sharpen their minds and promote social interaction in a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere. 

Each week, students will:

• Learn the rules and strategies of Cribbage.
• Play in pairs, trios or foursomes -each game offers a new challenge.
• Participate in friendly, mini-tournaments and team competitions. 
• Discover and play other classic card games like Speed, Spades or Crazy Eights for variety and fun.

The art of crochet was developed during the 16th century and has traditionally been passed down from generations; in Crochet Club, we will continue with that tradition. Students joining Crochet Club for the first time will learn about the different types of crochet hooks and yarn then quickly dive in to learn the basic Single Stitch. Once students are comfortable with the Single Stitch, new stitches will be introduced.  Students who are returning to the Crochet Club from previous years will learn more advanced stitches.

All students will receive a skein of yarn (colors will vary) and a crochet hook. Students need to bring both the yarn and hook to the club every week.  Knowledge of crochet will be beneficial but not necessary. Crochet Club is a great opportunity for students to gain and/or master a new skill and develop friendships with peers who share the love of crochet!

Do you love Disney?  Then join us for a magical after-school break where we relax and watch fun Disney shows like Bluey, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and more! We will enjoy stories, laughter and time with friends in cozy kid-friendly space.

This club is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship and is facilitated by trained staff. Students will hear the "Good News" that God loves them and has a wonderful plan for their lives. Students will study their Bibles and learn how to talk to God in prayer through songs, fun games, crafts, memorization contests, and discussions.

We understand that life gets busy. In homework club, students will have the time and opportunity to complete their homework. Once homework is finished we will go outside to help tidy up the playgrounds. This activity is designed to teach responsibility, encourage teamwork and gives students an opportunity to contribute positively to their school community through a simple act of service.  Please send your student with a healthy snack.

In How to Draw Club, students will learn to draw a variety of fun things like animals, characters, and so much more.  We will follow along with drawing videos and step-by-step guides, helping each artist create their own masterpiece.

Middle School Art Club is a space for our student artists to truly shine.  Think of it like an advanced, student-drive art studio, where students will take the lead. Students will be free to design their projects, explore conceptual ideas, and dive deep into the mediums they are most passionate about. The focus of the club is to build technical skills, pushing creative boundaries and make work you are geniunely produe of.  This is a space for experimentation, growth, and a good time.

This is a special opportunity for our 5th grade students. In this club we will dive into the exciting process of designing and creating a mural for the Elementary Art Room. This is a great opportunity to grow your artistic skills and bring your creative ideas to life on a large scale.  We are looking for students who can commit to the design process, timeline and help bring this mural to life.

Students will be able to build and explore different workstations with Play-Doh. Students will be able to build with Play-Doh and use Play-Doh tools to create while hanging out with friends. One session will include slime.  Each week we will begin the club with a snack and storytime. Please pack your child an extra snack for after school on Tuesdays.
