School Accountability Committee

The School Accountability Committee (SAC) is a vital part of Bromley East's leadership, bringing together parents, staff, administration, and community members to support the school’s goals and growth.
This group meets monthly to provide valuable input on key areas such as school goals, academic progress, and the use of fundraising dollars, while also strengthening meaningful parent engagement with teachers and academics—creating a shared understanding and a stronger direction for Bromley.
Members commit to serving for multiple years to ensure consistency and a long-term impact.
What Does SAC Do?
The SAC collaborates with school administration to support Bromley East’s mission and success. Responsibilities include:
- Offering feedback and insights for the Unified Improvement Plan (our school improvement plan)
- Discussing topics like:
- Academic, behavior, and attendance data
- School goals and progress
- Parent engagement and communication strategies
- Recommendations for spending fundraising dollars
- Staff evaluations
- Advising on timely issues, such as the school calendar and communication plans.
By providing valuable feedback and perspectives, the SAC fosters shared understanding among parents, staff, and the community, shaping decisions that directly impact students' success and the school’s growth.
What’s the Difference Between SAC and BOD?
While both the BECS Board of Directors and the School Accountability Committee monitor the overall performance of the school, there are some key differences. Learn a little more about these two parent and community leadership roles below.
