New Interim Directors Join Bromley East Charter School

July 10, 2019
Bromley East Charter School Board of Directors is pleased to announce an offer has been extended to Tracy Webber and Dr. Jessica Fiedler to serve as the new Interim Executive Directors for Bromley East Charter School for the 2019-2020 school year.  After careful consideration, the Board of Directors agreed to dedicate more time and launch an in-depth search to find the ideal candidate who can serve Bromley East Charter School's community and families on a long-term basis. Once the 2019-2020 academic year has begun, the Board will begin to evaluate next steps in the long-term leadership of Bromley East Charter School.

In the meantime, the Board looks forward to working with Mrs. Webber and Dr. Fiedler in a co-directorship capacity.  Both have extensive experience in all facets of education, establishing and fostering collaborative school environments to support students' social emotional growth, as well as their academic growth and achievement.  With 54 years of combined experience, the Board is confident their expertise and approach will drive initiatives that will enhance BECS culture and build collaboration with our staff, students, parents and community.  An opportunity for parents and students to meet Mrs. Webber and Dr. Fiedler will be scheduled at the start of the new school year.

This process would be remiss if it were not for the efforts of many.

First, we want to recognize and commend Dr. Lori Kohl, Ms. Jennifer Shaver, Mr. Hugh Frazier and Mrs. Kay Bloom for their unwavering dedication and support, maintaining operations and building positive relationships to prepare BECS for the upcoming school year.

Secondly, we want to thank Directors Richard Smith and Marc Saldivar for serving on the Hiring Committee, led by Director Ron Hruby, posting the position, vetting candidates and scheduling interviews in a short time frame.

Thirdly, we want to thank former board members Charles Elliston, Adele Newton and Stacey Shepard for providing input and support with this transition through the end of their terms.

Finally, and most importantly, we want to thank our parents and staff for their patience and understanding during this time of change.

Thank you for your support in making BECS the preeminent charter school we know it to be.

Donnell Kisa

BECS Board of Directors, President
