Our Culture

At Bromley East Charter School, our heart beats to the rhythm of SOAR: Success, Ownership, Attitude, and Respect.

These core values are the pillars of our educational approach, ensuring every student thrives academically and personally in a nurturing, inclusive environment. We're dedicated to creating a space where everyone—students, staff, and families alike—is inspired to reach their full potential, embodying the spirit of SOAR in all they do.

What does SOAR stand for?

Success

We believe everyone in our community has the ability to achieve personal and academic success.

We champion the belief that success is accessible to all, regardless of background or perceived limitations. By instilling confidence in our students, staff, and community, we reinforce that with determination and support, any aspiration is within reach. Together, we commit to developing a culture where big dreams and the pursuit of personal excellence are a natural part of our community's ethos, creating a landscape rich in hope and ambition.

Ownership

We believe everyone in our community can take ownership of their actions.

By encouraging individuals to own their actions, we foster accountability and self-awareness, key components for personal growth and responsible citizenship.

Attitude

We believe everyone in our community can approach life with a positive, growth-minded attitude.

A mindset rooted in optimism and perseverance unlocks the ability to overcome challenges and embrace learning opportunities. At Bromley East, we celebrate the power of a can-do attitude, shaping a culture where growth is a shared pursuit, and challenges fuel our collective strength.

Respect

We believe respect is the cornerstone of a strong, compassionate community.

Respect for oneself and others creates an environment where every individual feels valued, heard, and supported. This commitment to respect shapes a culture of unity and care, where every voice matters and every heart feels at home.

Meet Our School Mascot, Brock the Hawk!

Brock, as a young nestling, faced the challenge of learning to fly. Just as our young leaders must overcome their initial hesitations and uncertainties, so must we as a community SOAR towards new horizons.

Let’s model for our kids how genuine leaders are born in the real world – through facing adversity and challenges with a positive attitude, respect for one another, and a sense of ownership so that our individual and collective success is inevitable.

Together, we’re migrating out of an enduring and challenging ‘Winter’ into the embrace of warmth and boundless possibilities of ‘Spring’ – ushering in our collective renaissance as Bromley.

Each valued member of our community is an integral feather in the ever-unfolding wingspan of our narrative.

And together, we’re writing a story of resilience, growth, and limitless potential – a story that belongs to all of us. Whether you’re already part of our Bromley family or thinking of joining, thank you for sharing in the spirit of what makes this community so extraordinary!
