Ms. Laura Carter

I have lived in Colorado all my life and grew up in Fort Lupton.  I now currently reside in Johnstown.  I attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley where I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a minor in Mathematics in 2009.  I have taught at Bromley since I graduated college.  For the past two years, I was part of Bromley’s 4th grade team but moved up to join the new Middle School Math team where I teach Course 2 and 3.  Even though I loved teaching 4th grade, I really had a passion for older kids and Math.  When I have free time, I love to cook, read, watch movies, and hang out with my family and friends.

Ms. Jennifer Cornish

Mrs. Cornish has been teaching middle school mathematics at BECS for nearly six years. She began her career in business, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics with a minor in business studies from SUNY Geneseo in upstate New York. After being in business for a few years in Connecticut; Mrs. Cornish was called to teaching while living overseas in Germany. She moved to Colorado in 2006 and earned her Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix. She absolutely loves her Bromley family, including the faculty, staff, and amazing students. Mrs. Cornish feels truly blessed on a daily basis to teach mathematics to these wonderful students with such fantastic team mates. When away from BECS, Mrs. Cornish spends time with her husband, Jed, and two-year-old son, Eastin.

Ms. Ashley Eaton

I grew up in a small town called Basalt near Aspen, Colorado. It is one of the prettiest places you will find!  If you have never been there, I encourage you to go visit sometime. I have two younger brothers that I am very proud of and very close to. Cyrus is one year younger than me, and Mikie is exactly four years younger than me.  I was very active growing up and still enjoy being active today.  I love to ski, hike, bike, and play sports. In high school I played soccer, basketball, ran track, and ran cross-country.  I went to college at the University of Northern Colorado. I was very excited to play college soccer, but those plans changed after needing two knee surgeries.  Needless to say, my focus changed. I spent more of my time focusing on school and my future goal of one day becoming a math teacher.  I played intermural sports, club soccer, and ran track instead of playing soccer for the university. I also have a passion for learning about different cultures and traveling.  During the summer of my sophomore year, I was able to spend 9 weeks living in Cuernavaca, Mexico learning Spanish. My time at the University of Northern Colorado was a success and full of memories.  In the spring of 2009, I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado.  Once college ended, I began my teaching career in Eagle, Colorado. I taught 6th grade math and science at Eagle Valley Middle School. I also enjoyed working for an organization called the Youth Foundation. Through their organization, I helped start an afterschool program for at risk students who needed academic support and loved playing soccer.  It was a very rewarding experience and I really enjoyed my time working and living in Eagle, Colorado. On my free time in Eagle, I would take my dog hiking or to dog parks. I would go biking, skiing, watch brothers’ college soccer games, and hang out with friends and family. I am very fortunate to have been able to work alongside exceptional teachers, coaches, parents, and administration. I have gained a wealth of knowledge from all of my experiences starting in college and working within the Eagle County School District. They take pride in their teachers, schools, and value professional development.  I see those same great qualities at Bromley East Charter School. It is going to be a great year.   I am excited to learn about all my students’ interests, learning styles, gifts, and strengths. With that said, I wish everybody the best of luck and may this year be filled with success and excitement!
